How to Apply for CIMB Foreign Currency Fixed Deposit Account

Step 1

Apply for a CIMB FastSaver Account here.


This will be your transactional account. Account opening is instant - Fund it using FAST Transfer to activate it.

Step 2

Perform a "First Time Login" in CIMB Clicks Internet Banking.


An activation code will be sent via SMS within 1 business day upon account activation.

Step 3

With CIMB Clicks Internet Banking, under the eApplication tab, apply^ through the Foreign Currency Fixed Deposit.

 

^ If you are placing your Foreign Currency Fixed Deposit in SGD, please note that an exchange rate in USD or other chosen foreign currency will be applied.

Documents Required

For Singaporeans/PRs and Malaysians Residing in Singapore

The following documents are required for your CIMB Foreign Currency Fixed Deposit Account:

1. Copy of NRIC/Passport

2. Proof of residential address if the residential address in the application differs from the ID document (e.g. any latest telephone bill, bank statement or letter issued by the government)

 

For Foreigners

The following documents are required for your FCNR Account:

1. Passport

2. Proof of residential address (e.g. any latest telephone bill, bank statement or letter issued by the government)

3. Supporting documents to be provided (Employment Pass, Work Permit, Dependant’s Pass and Student Pass)
