As CIMB Hajj Savings-i is designed to inculcate a savings habit to save up for Hajj pilgrimage, do consider the following factors before applying for this savings account:

  • Shariah-compliant
  • There is no ATM card given.
  • Withdrawal charges are imposed if the withdrawal purpose is not for Hajj. For more information, please refer to the Complete List of Fees and Charges
  • CIMB Clicks Internet Banking is only limited for the purpose of viewing the CIMB Hajj Savings-i account balance and withdrawal is not allowed via Clicks. Withdrawal is only allowed over the branch counter.
  • To access CIMB Hajj Savings-i account information, having a CIMB Clicks Internet banking account is necessary.
  • CIMB Hajj Savings-i is a savings account and does not offer cheque books.
  • Given the nature of this account, there will also be neither passbook nor paper statements issued to customers. Customers can access their CIMB Hajj Savings-i account details conveniently via CIMB Clicks. A PDF electronic statement of the account can also be downloaded from CIMB Clicks Internet Banking.

 

Deposit Insurance Scheme

Singapore dollar deposits of non-bank depositors are insured by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation, for up to S$100,000 in aggregate per depositor per Scheme member by law. Foreign currency deposits, dual currency investments, structured deposits and other investment products are not insured.
